Candle Making Classes - 19th September 2026

Directions for Use:

1. Before lighting, trim the wick to 5mm.
2. On your first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar — this takes approximately 2–3 hours and prevents tunnelling.
3. Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
4. Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting or moving.
5. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings and debris.

Safety Warning:

• Never Leave Unattended: Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep Out of Reach: Keep away from children and pets.
• Keep Away from Drafts: Avoid burning near flammable materials, curtains or drafts.
• Stop When Low: Discontinue use when only 10mm of wax remains.
• Burn on a Stable Surface: Always place on a heat-resistant surface.

Is morning tea included?
Yes! Sit back, relax and enjoy a cuppa and beautifully baked goods provided by Pork Pies and the Perfect Pickle while you create — morning tea is included in your class.

Do I need any experience?
Not at all — you'll be guided step-by-step through the whole process. Just bring yourself and a love for all things beautifully scented.

What's included?
All materials, your own candle to take home, and morning tea.

What if my candle isn't ready to take home?
Candles need time to set before they're ready to travel. If yours hasn't fully cured by the end of the session, no problem — simply leave it with us and pop back to Morrissey Blinds and Interiors during opening hours to collect your candle within the week.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made for the Scentarama Classes including Candle Making Classes.

Bookings and payment

1. Bookings are per person. Each participant requires a separate booking and payment.
2. Full payment of $100 per person is required to confirm your booking. Your place is not secured until payment has been received.
3. Bookings are made and paid for through our website checkout at www.scentarama.com.au.
4. The class has a maximum capacity of 10 participants. Bookings are accepted on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.
5. This class is designed for participants aged 16 years and over, as it involves working with hot wax and fragrance oils. We are unable to accept bookings for under-16s.

Cancellations and refunds

1. All class bookings are non-refundable. Due to the limited capacity of the class, we are unable to offer refunds once a booking is confirmed.
2. If you are unable to attend, please contact Helen directly as soon as possible. We will make every reasonable effort to transfer your booking to a future class date, subject to availability. A rebooking fee of $50 applies to any date change, regardless of the reason for the change.
3. Scentarama reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class in the event of insufficient bookings or unforeseen circumstances. In this event, a full refund will be issued to all confirmed bookings.

Attendance

1. The class runs for approximately 1 hour and begins promptly at the start time advised in your booking confirmation. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time to allow for check-in.
2. All participants must be aged 16 or over to take part in the hands-on candle pouring.
3. All participants must be in reasonable health on the day of the class. If you are unwell, please contact us in advance.
4. All materials and tools are provided. Participants do not need to bring anything other than themselves.
5. Candles need time to fully set before they're safe to travel. If yours hasn't set by the end of the session, no problem — leave it with us and pop back in to collect it within the week. If you are unable to do that we can organise shipping, which will be charged at current Australia Post shipping rates.

Photography and content

1. Scentarama may photograph or film the class for use in marketing and social media content.
2. By attending, you consent to photography of the session. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please advise Helen prior to the event and we will respect your preference.

Health and safety

1. Scentarama takes all reasonable care to ensure the class environment is safe and suitable for participants.
2. Hot wax and fragrance oils are used throughout the class. Please follow all instructions given by Helen at all times, for your own safety and that of other participants.
3. Please advise us of any known allergies or sensitivities to fragrance oils prior to attending.

General

1. Scentarama reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking applies.
2. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
